Ricci

Sarkis Ricci is a French Armenian jazz pianist, composer and producer.

Sarkis Ricci started classical piano at 5. With both parents being Armenian folk dancers, his music has always been influenced by Armenian culture and artists such as,Komitas, Arno babajanian or also more recently from jazz pianist Tigran Hamasyan.

As student, he followed with a jazz training at the American School of Mordern Music where he worked on his technique, developed his interest in electronic music and built his projects as a composer and musician in jazz, hip-hop and pop with the French Band Chromatik .

He worked at the Boulogne Conservatory as a piano teacher and MBC teacher (Music By Computer) and was appointed studio director and musical director for the Sauvage FFW label (Paris).

Sarkis has been working for the last year on his personal project Mediterranean Blues but also on his new band Modal Tune, a fusion of jazz and house music with his friend Guti.

In parallel Sarkis is teaching music theory and composition at Freedom Engine Academy Berlin, created by Mathew Jonson.
